How Did This Happen?

I logged off for like 5 minutes and when I come back on my account was cleaned out. How did this happen, I haven't downloaded anything or Clicked on anything that could be a key-logger. I mean WTF? Someone enlighten me on how it happened please.

Do you have any special software installed such as deep freeze? Deep freeze was designed to restore to a previous "clean" copy of windows after logging out or restarting the computer.

 

Wtf that doesn't come close to answering his problem. He is asking how is runescape account got cleaned not how his computer got cleaned.

Someone else is in your house. Right. After you log off, your mom is going to log in to your runescape account (without knowing your password) and steal your stuff.

Really the only thing that could have happened is keylogger, you let a trainer on your account and forgot to change the pass after they were done, or it didnt log you off when you clicked log off and you got killed somehow. Those are the only logical reasons i can think of for stuff just "dissapearing".

 

find the keylogger program and trace it and then sue the guy! He will be in jail soon and a big fine to pay u

Actually, IF the keylogger was using pop3 on his pc it would be quite easy to trace, if it happened to be more advanced then you would probably be stuck with just removing it.

 

another thing he may have done was used a disk that has a keylogger program on it (such as if he cleaned his computer, saved some items to a cd then reformated , the logger could be on it, or if he also plays a game that has a easy access to your computer such as diablo its really really easy to keylog someone.

 

Or we could all grow up and move this to a board for other children to worry themselves over.
