    My story growing up

I was reading a thread about if you had to choose to be a gangsta with no worries and i ended up type my life story to give the kid some advice. I think it should have it own thread now that reread it, I'm gonna just copy and paste it below without editing the slang.

I live in pgh where wiz is from, I live in a part called Garfield. Coming up all i seen was drug dealers , shoot outs all that crazy shit, my dad was a even drug dealer. When me and my brother hit 8th grade/9th grade we started getting into the street aswell. i started off selling weed in school, my 8th grade year i got caught with 3 oz off 50 and got kicked out of my middle school. When i hit 9th grade me and my bro started robbing drug dealers and shit getting 2k bands from each lick. When i turned 15 about to turn 16 me and my brother caught a gun charge and was put on house arrest. we did a couple mouths of that cause we had some expensive ass lawyers and good grades they put us on home detention "catching calls". I remember this shit like it was yesterday. Me and my brother was suppose to go to the club. Next thing you know i got a call from my aunt talking about she was glad i answered the phone she thought i got shoot in the head up by her house. My brother live close to her so i calls his phone like 5 times got no answer. I didn't wanna live the house cause i had to catch one more call. Long story short my brother ended up getting arrested the next day and charged with murder execution style. They gave him life at 17 years old with no prole. This life style isn't what they hype it up to be bro, I wish i never done the shit i did. I'm lucky all my charges was juvenile none of it shows on my record for a job. I miss my bro to death it's fucked up tho cause i can't even go visit him because we caught charges together they said no old co defenders can visit. I haven't seen him in 3-4 years. This life style only leads to one road that's on some real shit. Don't grow up before you suppose to because when you are grown you'll be bitter as fuck with no feeling for life. Free my brother

Edit: We was young at the time and that's all we really knew, but if he seen how the are city was doing right now. i bet he would be a hole different person.

Honestly...what do you expect to accomplish by posting this?

Real or not, I don't give a shit about it...Everyone has a hard life, some harder then others...and TBH, it's your own fucking fault...

Anyone with half a brain would realize that "being a gangsta" isn't a very good life choice...

This is irrelevant imo. Not everyone thinks straight when they're growing up, especially when they have bad influences. And like you said real or not, the fact of the matter is he realizes what went wrong in the past.

Erm, easy for you to say. Did you just skip the part of how he grew up?

Totally agreed with Nunchuck. I think pk should be commended for realizing his mistakes. Hopefully you'll continue to stay on the path you're on and leave the past behind. :)

I respect you for emerging from your past a changed person, and with a new perspective on life. I can't imagine what it would be like to lose a brother to a life incarceration, and never get to visit him in prison, but I'm glad that in the process of your brother being incarcerated, atleast ONE life was saved (your own).

The gangster life is no joke, and its quite sad for the kids who grow up in that lifestyle and know nothing else. Please take this opportunity to do great things with your life, and escape the things you grew up with.

Also - I just wanted to add a little something about masterchief. It is not really my place to talk shit about him as I don't really know what his life is like, but from what I have gathered from him on the spam forum, he is just a little 15 year old wannabe gangster that sells dime bags at the mall and posts all over Sythe trying to build up some reputation for himself. I highly doubt he has had any of the experience that you have.

In the 21st century, we have this internet thing that lets us see what the people all around us are doing all over the world. You are bound to have seen something or another about gangsta'ing in the past 7+ years. You had the ability to learn about your situation, but you didn't take advantage of it. Your fault entirely.

I think you guys are missing the point ENTIRELY.

This guy has made some mistakes in his past obviously, and he learned from them the hard way. He is not condoning the gangster life nor bragging about his past, or asking for your sympathy. He is merely telling his story and what he learned from his experiences, and if you read the end you would see that he learned a huge life lesson and emerged from this with a new perspective on his previous lifestyle, and the willingness to change and spread the message to other people. Telling him that it is his own fault doesn't help anybody here, he KNOWS that its his own fault and he has already accepted responsibility for those things and acknowledged that the way he was living was leading him towards an inevitable end of self destruction.

Also, this was originally posted in mastercheif's thread that was bragging about how he supposedly lives the gangster life. This guy posted in response to masterchief, trying to open his eyes to the harsh reality of the gangster lifestyle. His post has a good message in it though, and so I don't blame him at all for copy & pasting into a brand new thread so more people can see it.

To anyone who says "it's your fault for making those choices", it's a totally different thing to think you could reject that lifestyle if you were in that position and to actually be raised in that environment and have to face those decisions. You may think you'd be able to "just say no", but the pressure is a lot more immense when it's the only life you've ever known.

Thought and experience are two different things.

Thanks to everyone who read my story, and understand the point i was trying to make. Few years back at a young age your bind to reality, I still got boys who's trapped into this mind state. For real I think rs was the only thing that kept me sane all theses years Lol. Y'all probably would I was old but i'm only 19 and in college. I can't even have fun like all the other people around my ages because my mind is jacked up.
