    Do you ever feel like your thoughts aren't going in the direction you want? Maybe you get depressed, or anxious, and you never really understand why? Or, maybe you do, and you simply avoid circumstances that make you uncomfortable, or you use drugs in order to make your life a little bit more tolerable?

    Maybe you're perfectly normal, and have a kickass life.

    The latter was not true for me. I was falling in a spiral of depression, anxiety, obesity, and anger... So much anger.

    I tried pot, for many years, and it calmed me.

    Alcohol made it worse.

    Never enjoyed cigs or anything really heavier than that.

    One day, I downloaded headspace onto my phone, tried out their 10 minute session, and I was blown away by experience. I continued meditating. I was lost in this new mindful experience. After many sessions, 10 daysx10 minutes was enough for me, it actually became something I couldn't live without.

    Whether you feel perfectly fine, or not, I encourage you to give this a try. I promise that it will give you better control of your thoughts, and the direction your life goes.

    Headspace.com is the one I started with. Lots of good ones out there, though.

    Thanks, I will take a look at it and see if it does wonders for me. I also have a lot of anger and stress in my life and weed has been doing the trick everynight for me.

    Awesome, will try that combination tonight, how do I know if Im not doing it correctly? What am I supposed to expect?

    The idea is basically to bring yourself into the present moment, aware of your senses, and the space around you. Think of it kind of like a light sleep where the goal is to maintain focus on your breathing while simply noting the thoughts that pop into your head. Instant results should not be expected. Ideally, you'll find you feel rested and energized after the guided meditation.
