This is a fresh $800 billion, on top of the previous 700.

 

This will just further us more into a Depression. I just think that this is not what the U.S government needs

I don't support Obama, but I can only hope that he can get us out of this mess. Not much else to do, to be honest.

 

It's an overinflated number. The previous $700 billion bailout is nowhere near $700 billion, it is close to $300-400 billion. I expect this number to be overinflated as well. Regardless, it's a lot of money going into too few hands when it should be dispersed to American consumers who will just pump it back into the economy and help businesses. "Trickle down" just doesn't work in my opinion.

If this does stabilize the economy, as many hope it does. Then it is well worth it! I was watching the news this afternoon and was watching the stock market fluctuate. It was kinda weird, I mean, watching peoples money go down the drain, while people made money... Sad that the whole US economy, and possibly the worldwide economy, by one thing, the New York Stock Exchange... Depressing...

I think this is a step to gain for the improvement for the economy but this will not resolve all the problems it has.
