I registered in 2010, since then I have moved out of home and into college, the only way for me to get onto Sythe is through a VPN.

2010 was a long time ago and I don't even remember what I set my recovery phrase to? Is there anything else I can do?

 

No, I don't believe there's anything else you can do. I can understand moving out and all but why can you only access sythe.org through a VPN?

Regardless, it won't be possible to recover your account unless you can prove to us that you are the legitimate owner. Since you aren't a donor or a SVU, we can't use those methods to verify you. We don't have your old passwords and can't use things like that.

 

I moved out of home to move into college dorms and the internet here won't let me connect without going through a VPN because they have for some reason classified this website as 'illegal'.

It's really a bit disappointing because of the reputation I've earned over the years, since being on this website I have earned 40+ vouches and 900 posts. I can understand that you've come to a presumption of my account being hacked, but I feel like that the staff may have jumped to conclusions.

Please let me know where we can go from here.

There have been many hackings lately so that's another reason why we've banned you (it is more likely that the account is hacked than usual). I also can't say I believe you about the illegal website issue/VPN explanation.

If you think of another way to prove your legitimacy then by all means post another dispute, but as for now - it's not possible. Furthermore for us to create a new account for you, you'd need to post from your home IP address, not a VPN.
