Best pure in Runescape?

In everyones opinion, whats the best OLD SCHOOL type of pure. Since as i'm sure everyone knows that the 2007 servers have a good chance of coming back, I'd like to know what is thought to of been the best old school pure. Rune pures/zerks are always good in my opinion but what do you guys think? Let me know!

1 def pure i like either 60-99-1 31 prayer 99 range no magic(i don't care for magic) or 70-99-1 31 prayer 99 range.

 

By a long shot 2007 range tanks were the best thing, melee wasn't too overpowered and 90+ def with far casting was just OP.

 

I had a range tank 99 range 60 defense 74 prayer combat was somewhere in the mid to high 80s. Was a beast.

 

I had a f2p 1 def pure back then, used to fuck people up with it.

 

Start out with a 1 def pure, when you get tired of it build it into a low defense pure, then when you get tired of that pking finish up the account by making it into a 40 def pure. That's basically what I've done with all of my side accounts.

 

Yeah. @Invocation- I had a 1 defense pure and zerker on the main Runescape and I thought 1 def pures were pretty fun for the simple fact that you had to always be on your toes but just such a damn pain to train!

 

2 of the classic best pures of all times would be maxed 1deff pure and also zerker pures

 

Yeahhh. I also had a turmoil pure but didn't finish it due to the EOC. However, i do think that the zerker might be the most well rounded pure

 

my favourite pure build is
60-90+-1
90+ range, 94 mage, 31 prayer

/ruined.

 

No matter how much I try, this ends up happening to all my accounts.

 

1 Defense pure for sure. They have raped wilderness since 2001.

 

Lol, I knew most of the responses would be a 1 Defence Pure. Yes, they are fun but an account that destroys pures is;

When I first saw this thread, I thought you were hosting a vote with actual old-school pure names. I was going to vote for either I Mahatma I or 3 Hit U

I voted for rune/beserker pure even though 1 defence is obviously more classic. But in recent years as the weapons, prayers, and tactics in RuneScape evolved, I think rune pures became a lot more common and a lot more effective in the wilderness - and I like the diverse options they offer!

 

True, but it had gotten to the point where I fought nothing but Zerkers, which was annoying at times.

 

Yeah well i guess i should have stated this before but.. I mean as in the 2007 era, what was best? not so much now since it won't matter once the old servers come back. Old pking wise.. what's best?

 

If I'm honest it's pretty much opinion more than fact, different accounts may have fit to specific people's playing style.

 

Zerks are always the best in my opinion, yet I'd love a 1 defence f2p pker, I had one with 92 strength and it got banned for glitching.

 

1 def pure without a doubt. Initiate/turm pures will pretty much be non existent.

 

I can't vote on two options, I've voted for barrows although I prefer both: barrows and 1 defense.
