No Tutorials, no guides, no help. I did these all by myself, they both took about 2-5 minutes, and 7.9 Minutes in total. I don't know shit about CS3, but if there is anybody out there who is an good instructor and knows plenty about CS3, i'd be glad to learn. Without further adu, my work.

Should I save as .gif or .png?

Because when I saved as .gif for the transparent one, it came out kind of sketchy.

Hmm, good luck with that. But to be honest, nobody really cares if you mastered pshop without a tut :\. If you ask me, you're better off mastering pshop the way pros did. Learn from the best. (tutorials.)

So far all you've really done is play with filters, blending options and gradients. Some of the most simplistic features of photoshop. I highly recommend you broaden your horizons by... yep, you guessed it. Tutorials.

You haven't really done anything to the original other than add a background/gradient and add some photofilters. My advice, use tuts

In all of them the text does not look good, and some of the renders are not cut well, every little thing helps to make a good looking piece of art.

I understand all cristism, yet I can't totally understand yours. You request signatures and avatars all the time, so who are you to commentate on my GFX? I'd like to see you do what I do. I don't use tutorials etc... so Yes, I think I'm slightly decent for an beginner with NO experience in graphics.

To those who say use an tut - give me an link that has an tut that's actually good { most youtube vids aren't helpful, and generally incorrect}.

If you think YouTube videos are proper PhotoShop tutorials, then you are certainly wrong. Go download a pack of tuts in the GFX section of this forum! Or guess what? http://www.justfuckinggoogleit.com

    Glad I could help.

I like the fact that you attempted to make a signatures on your own without the aid of any tutorials/help what so ever. I wouldn't say these are very good but at least you're trying. What you want to do is make a new document with the size of 380x120, that is the size I use and I'm very comfortable with it. I'm not saying you have to use that size but you have to use a size around that. Which you put your render into the signature you want to make sure you re size it the correct way so that it doesn't lose pixelation. To do this you want to resize using shift while dragging the corner boxes. You signatures have no background which is very bad because it's just so dull. You want to make a nice background that you can blend your render into and bring out some good effects. There are tons of tutorials that you can find on the internet that can show you the basics you need to know and from there you can just make your imagination take over. Don't think that using tutorial is a bad thing because it's not. Not everyone can just open up photoshop and be the best at it, it takes time and practice.

Alright, first of all. STOP being asshole to everyone that is offering YOU advice, they are trying to help YOU. Don't shoot the messenger. \

Alright, I don't care if you've used tuts or not, just get it done and make it look good, that's all we care about.

And seriously? Are you that lazy that you can't even find your own tuts? I mean cmon! If you're bitching about the quality of youtube videos then maybe you should stop using videos and switch to something else. Don't be a complete fucktard

Firstly please post a link of me requesting a Signature or Avatar.

Your text is below par. Read some tutorials on www.psdtuts.com

Some of the renders you use are choppy, Meaning they are not smooth.

Little things such as putting the text in the right spot, picking the right render, etc makes a good piece of art.

Just because your in the UE, that does not mean your superior to other members.
