    My New Computer Parts

    Hey everyone.

I've been getting sick and tired of my computer; slowness, laggy, small memory, terrible graphics, ect. So I went to this website for a store called TigerDirect. The store isn't too far from where I live, and they ship aswell, so I though what the hell.

I have links so you can check out the specs. I want to double-check if everything is compatable, will work good, and will last me a while.

I would also know what I am missing - Besides a Sound Card, Keyboard, Mouse, ect.

    Processor
    Intel Core 2 Quad Q9550 2.83 GHz

    Motherboard
EVGA nForce 790i SLI FTW w/Digital PWN

    Memory / Ram
    Corsail Dual Channel 4,096MB PC12800 DDR3 1,600MHz

    Video / Graphics Card
I've chosen 3 to pick from.
Will be using 3 with the 790i Motherboard EVGA GeForce 8500 GT - 1GB GDDR2
    EVGA GeForce GTX 285 - 1GB GDDR3
    BFG GeForce GTX 295 - 1,792 GDDR3

    Wireless Networking
    D-Link WDA-2320 PCI - RangeBootster Technology

    Harddrive
    SEagate Barracuda 1.5TB Harddrive

Looks like you have some serious money to spend :p. What are you going to be using the computer for mainly? Determines what you need really. Also, what's your budget?

I personally wouldn't get a separate sound card and would just use the onboard sound. Now if you have the money, get three GTX 295s there is not a single thing those extreme beasts won't be able to do. You are also going to need a massive power supply, a computer case, an optical drive(dvd/cd drive), and case fans if they don't come with your case. I've put together something using the info you gave for $2,734 however I am going to guess you do not want to spend that much. I can try to help you some more if you get me a price range but if you can pay $2,734 then take a look at these parts.

Edit: Oops, price was off for a sec there lol. Adjusted it. Also, that build there only includes one gtx 295 due to price. However the nice thing is, you can just get another if you want more gpu power later on.

Must be some expensive accessories or something lol. Anyways, your looking to cut off about 700 dollars then? In that case I would switch the processor to this one

    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3574211&Sku=CP1-DUO-E8400

    Drop down to a 280

    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=3930709&CatId=3669

    and drop down to a

    http://www.tigerdirect.ca/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2700093&CatId=2535

Those parts will still give you VERY nice performance(enough to run any game out there at some pretty high if not maxed settings). Also room to upgrade to another 280 at any time.

To be honest, the Q9550 is shit man, slower clock speed than a turtle, the processor itself is a low standard multi tasker, and it really is not worth the (what is it 200 dollars?). If your going intel, i would jump up to the lowest i7 with a socket b mobo. Hyperthreading makes a TON of difference. Clock speed is off the wall, i felt like i was in slow motion after going back to a computer with a Athlon6400. Everything else looks awesome man, good luck
