    Super simple project I did today with GIMP using some random C4D renders. Thoughts?

    Be gentle. ;-;

    Really looks like 2 pictures. I believe you need to learn to blend the two better :p

    Props for creativity though.

    Good point, I kind of see what you're talking about. Definitely some contrast between the layers.

    Looks like a picture of fire mario on top of a background tbh. Still nice looking though.

    Yeah Ramon pointed that out as well. It's strange how the renders and background are all multiple separate layers but look like the same picture, while Mario stands out.

    Going to look into some tutorials on how to blend layers better.

    Try putting some stuff ontop of mario so it looks like hes in the shatter instead of infront of it.

    Moved some shatter in front of Mario, blurred his layer, added some drop shadows.

    Not sure how to go about this. The shatter and Mario are obviously separate renders so how would I sync the lighting on both?4

    Edit: Alternatively, I like this version a whole lot better than the previous two.

    Well, since all you're doing is putting renders together, you'd correct the lighting by rotating and positioning the renders properly.

    Also, the second version is not that better. It doesn't look that great to just change the layer blending options.

    Yeah, thanks.

    Considering it was a 5 minute little project I did I'm just going to move on to some GFX signatures. No need to edit it any further.
