The Youtube Community

Is it just me that thinks that the youtube community is becoming horrible?
What bugs me most is the comments, i mean that when people post a comment 40% of the people post something completely random such as "boner" or "hi".
and some of these comments get thumbs up.. why?
everyone is trying to be as random as possible to try and say something funny thats not even related to the video.
I think that the thumbs up feature should be removed to help take care of all these random, stupid, pointless comments

 

It's been like that since the dawn of youtube, it's just how it is.

I find people with smaller channels comment section is a lot less spammed and the comments are generally a lot more relevant. I suggest looking into finding more of these types of channels rather than the mainstream big-shots, they are often just as entertaining and sometimes reply to your comments etc.

 

Along with terms that are related to Justin Beiber on every fucking legendary music video.

I hate youtube community.

They get mad at me for making comments and try to use the videos and things I've favorited as a way to discredit me or as ammunition for their verbal assaults.

 

I tend to avoid commenting unless it's praising the actual video maker. I sometimes skim through the comments if I had a question about the video I wanted to find the answer to.

 

I don't get why you guys are complaining about this. It has always been like that and I doubt it'll change. Tbh sometimes those comments can give me a good laugh.

 

It was a lot better back in 2009, but seriously YouTube seemed to have done everything to kill the community. Also because YT has become so widespread nowadays.

 

The YouTube community is just plain vile, they copy the same comments on to others videos, in hopes for a 'thumbs up'

 

Too many trolls on Youtube these days, I disable the comments in every video I upload.

tbh the comments have been the same since 2006. Except for the "Thumbs Up" aspect.

The video makers however have changed, most of the big timers only make videos for money, and not because they enjoy it.

 

The community became crap when they updated youtube to promote channels. For example, Pyroboy, SHAYTARDS, etc. I hate them all.

I hate all those "thumbs up" comments and "x people are gay" or whatever!

 

Eh. I feel that its changed when they replaced the 5 star rating with the "Thumbs up."

Too many people now comment just for attention. The dislike bar is the size of x's dick or something like that. As Rawr said, try to look for smaller channels and write some constructive comments and the channel owner will answer your question/thank you for you comment.

I honestly like the rating system better than the like/dislike.

 

Pretty much agree with this especially since when you saw thumbnails for videos they would have the star ratings next to them and so you can see which videos are good

 

i hate when people bring politics into videos and have comment wars. majority of them have no idea what they're talking about and it just ruins the vibe lol

 

it's the internet bro. Youtube comments aren't regulated by admins or staff so of course you're gonna see a lot of trolls.

I hate the " oh i jizzed comments" and the pointless comments that did not need to be said.
