One of the strangest days

I don't want to bore people by droning on, but I've had one of the strangest days ever, I don't know whether I'm still shocked, I don't know.

Basically, I have a best friend (lets call her Stacey for privacy), and another close friend (lets call her Paige).

I was at a party on Saturday, both Stacey and Paige were there, I was kissing Paige, Stacey saw us and got very upset, not just because we were drinking but she was genuinely heartbroken. She wouldn't tell me what was wrong, and when I went into college today, Stacey told me she was upset because I was kissing Paige.

At first I thought it was because Stacey liked me, that wasn't the case at all, she told me she had been dating Paige since November last year, and that nobody knew except for themselves and two other friends (who aren't close very much), and she was upset because Paige kissed me.

I just found out both my best friends are gay together and they didn't tell me for months, I couldn't get my head around it, I'm not attracted to Paige it was just a spur of the moment thing. I've never been so confused in my life, I can't explain how strange the feeling is, I'm kind of happy for them but I'm mostly upset they didn't tell me, I thought I meant more to them than that.

Now their relationship is official, Stacey has told her parents and they're fine with it.

 

Now I'd be in shock if that happened to me. I honestly don't know how I'd feel - probably just... shocked. Not in a good way not in a bad way.

Weird man, weird.

 

It was the last thing I expected, honestly. How did they hide it for 4 months..?

This is strange, i was shocked by the ending. So.......i honestly think this "gay relationship" wont last long. Your not attracted to either of them so your okay right?

 

I don't get where you need personal support, seems pretty laid out there. Your friends kept their relationship a secret, not knowing if they could trust you or not. You kissed your friend on a "spur of the moment" thing. As long as you don't feel like evolving into a relationship with her you and the other two will remain friends, that is if you can hold that secret to yourself.

 

I needed to talk to someone, would you be shocked if your best friends told you they were gay together for months without you realising? It's kind of sinking in now, we've been talking all night and I'm starting to see it was inevitable, they're inseparable and they'd be better off together, it's not just a sexual relationship, they've helped each other through some pretty dark stuff. It's almost as if it's the most natural thing ever, now.

You're just going to have deal with it, I don't have strong advice other than that, I'd be shocked if my best friends were gay, but give it time and you'll be fine with it and everything will be back to normal.
If "Stacey" has a problem just say what you said here, it was a spur of the moment thing and you were drinking.
