My Gambling Addiction - Youll be surprised how much Ive lost

Okay, so this basically started in the Spring of 2012, I was part of a gambling clan named "Cora Dyce" - though I unfortunately had no money to gamble, so I just stuck around for 6 months trying to become a host, which never happened there. I made some money by buying Runescape Membership Cards and selling them for RSGP, I'd normally lose the money within 30 minutes. There was a time where I bought $750 worth of RSGP at an TOO EXPENSIVE rate and I only recieved 1.2B RSGP, this was in late 2012, - I lost that money in 20 minutes. Keep in mind that I've actually never played RS, I got hooked on gambling when I was a level 50 player or something.

I remember winning a 1.6B jackpot in a IRC of a clan named Smokin Mils, with a 50K bet, it was the only money I had, and I was going to quit the game. Wow, 1.6B - that lasted me, like what? 3 minutes?

That's not the worst part of it, I managed to gamble 100M to 6B once, - welp, I lost it all, rates were possibly .32 selling during this point.

I also managed to turn 696m (that same exact amount) into > Max Cash (2147M) + 1331M in Inventory, + 80m shards (which is worth 2B) and 3B chips still in the gambling chips, which they were cleaned to withdraw. Basically I made 696m into 8.5B in under 20 minutes (this is IRC, no host bets, just player vs house, so anything can happen) - I somehow lost those 3B chips, and then ended up eventually losing the remaining 5.5b ...

I owned many swap clans, which did well at the start of 07, I basically made over 1B RS3 daily doing gold swaps, I gambled away all my profits, and had to sell ranks to feed my gambling addiction. Keep in mind that I never RWTed at this point, and I've cashed in and lost over 100B RS3 and 2B 07 at this point. ... And this is before I actually started staking in RS3 ...

My accounts together in Tokenbets have 4B 07 cashed in all together, keep in mind that I have never cashed out and sold anything except 100M 07 from Tokenbets. Even if I cashed out, I cashed right back in.

I remember the time I made 800M dicing from 50M RS3 at BBB, I then went staking and turned that 800m to a beautiful: 160m Shards (worth 4b), max cash in bank, and maybe 1.6B in inventory? Ya .. gg 7.3b or however much that was. I also gambled maybe 100m to around 4b several times, giving away 1B to a friend, etc

And this isn't even the good part. I managed to sell 4K worth of RSGP from staking, I bought it all back in a months time for BTC, only to lose it gambling within a day at several gambling sites ... I don't know what to do, I need help - I can feel this addiction controlling me, - keep in mind that I'm only 17 years old, and I've lost over $70K that I could of sold, (this is not the amount I gambled it into) this is the amount that I cashed in, etc)

 

Wow, that was an interesting read bro. $70k in gold though, you definitely need to control this addiction. I've never been a heavy gambling addict but I did have a phase where I was constantly getting cleaned and buying rsgp, although I did eventually just stop because I knew this was gonna lead me nowhere.

Im confused, have you spent 70k on gold or no? Because if you haven't then you've lost nothing and your "addiction" isn't real as an addict would be buying the gold to gamble. And how did a 15-17 year old kid get 70k to blow on gp if thats the case.

 

He probably means 70k was the total amount of gold he's ever handled and lost.

If you're not taking money out of your pocket to find your addiction then it's more of a hobby then a problem

 

If I lost $70k irl I wouldn't want to go anywhere near RS ever again. Sucks though man, should have cashed it out while you had the chance

 

$70,000 is the total amount that I've missed out on. You see, I've always been rich in RuneScape, I've always found ways to make money, gambling (when I had strategy), swapping (pulled 1B daily from the first few months), and staking (which I lost everything from).

I managed to sell a lot of GP though, but I cashed that all in - due to it being on BTC, and I didn't transfer it to a bank yet, as I was going to do some investing or make a plan with it.

 

Damn, you just need to have a figure in your head man that your happy to cash out on, you have to think about the irl side of gambling, I had 900m Rs3 yesterday went staking turned it into 4.4b and In my head I kept saying its time to sell, its time to sell, what did I got and do stake more, ended up getting cleaned slowly and painfully.

 

I'd seek professional help, perhaps a counsellor, or a support group. If you've lost a potential $70,000 then you obviously have a genuine problem, and may want to look into getting some help to resolve it. Just because it's RSGP doesn't mean you can't have a gambling addiction! Good luck, and hopefully things turn out well for you

 

I used to love gambling pre eoc lol, but you need to just stop gambling bro in the end we all lose it all.

Is gambling available in 07? I always see like a bunch of people advertising it in world .

Dicing/staking is very common on 07, go to the duel arena on w302 to see for yourself or infront of grand exchange
