You overdid the effects. The last one is the best. Not sure if that's a stroke, or the effect that comes with the font. Either way, try to make it more smoother. You can blur the outlines out a little, or feather it.

 

I agree with Ghast, my favorite is indeed the last one. Neat and clean.

 

Try going for clarity before flare. Play around with layer effects (a lot) & download some new ones.


Thicker sans serif fonts work better with clipping masks. The first one is really rough imo and not very legible (and since its just text it kind of defeats the purpose).

 

A larger font gives your more canvas to play around with. Read some more tutorials and keep us updated on your progress

The first two are woeful, it isn't how I expected them to turn out.
