Visual Basic 2008 Express Edition (a feature-reduced lighter version) is available for download from Microsoft at http://www.microsoft.com/express/vb/.

If you feel the need for the full-featured version try searching torrents or P2P programs seeing as we try to avoid warez here at Sythe.

Thank you very much for your time, what version would you happen to use?

When I do use VB for making relatively simple applications, I use Visual Basic 6 (you would have to find an illegal download for this).

I am oblivious as to why you would, though.

Just use the express. You won't be needing anything in the professional and Team Suite editions, heck, you probably wouldn't utilize Standard edition to it's full potential. Not even I do.
