Merchanting nature runes

I have a pretty smart friend who has a photogenic memory. Recently , i was in his clan chat and he was telling another person to merchant nature runes because they are a good item.

He tells his friend to buy nature runes at MAX, then in a week time, nature runes will go from 190gp - 300gp and he'll sell at med for a profit.

I told him it's impossible as nature runes has always been going down, not up, and there are just too many runecrafters producing nature runes than alchers using nature runes.

Then he tells me to shh and his trying to tell me im dumb because he is a pro merchant and has been watching nature runes for weeks now.

Views/opinions? Do you think what he said is true lol? personally i think that is a load of bullshit , although i don't EVER merchant.

He probably bought a bunch of runes for max and now wants someone to take them off his hands without losing money.

 

I doubt they will go up that much, although this good be a nice item for a quick flip.

thanks for your replies guy, i feel much better...he has 400M and i asked him how much he has put into natures since he is so confident, and he told me only 20M , because his other gold was put into other Merchs.

and his friend said this LOL "Sorry its too risky and everything you told me on merching made me lose money"

and he replied "ok blaze, your loss".

 

prices have stabilized at about 197 gp; not going to be much change and if any it will be most likely going down unless a new spell comes out requiring nats.

at the moment, runing double nats still yields a decent profit.

your friend isn't too smart... 400m is knowhere near enough to even make them rise, let alone 20m... gl to your friend i guess hope he enjoys losing money.

edit : because fly fishing is the fastest way to 99 fishing, and people are starting to realise that, therefore they are stocking up on feathers ???

 

chessy couldn't even handle feathers... the limit is small, billions if not trillions in game your friend is not too bright when it comes to picking items...

 

You're kidding? Your friend is an idiot. Fly-fishing has been a well known method for a while now...

 

Nature's won't go up, bot's have pushed the price down too much, and there are way too many doing it. But since the price is so low, I don't think the production of Nature's has been to good, and it may go up.
Just my 2cents.

 

Just because your idiot friend has watched them for weeks does not change the fact that he doesnt have 1/100th of the buying power require to significantly affect nats price lol.

 

With the amount of rcers pumping runes into the economy, such a rise could never happen.

Anyways you should always be buying them at MIN and nothing else because they will always come, even if over night.

 

This and the fact that if nature rune prices go up, more people will start to graahk and create nats.

Hence the buyout would either have to be strengthened or it will fail.

Yeah he is really weird, for wanting to merchant natures and feathers...he was dead serious though.

he could remember his combat level, where we met in runescape, what i gave him exactly, when we met and what i was wearing

and we met 3 yrs ago!!!
