My farm :D

Well I was speaking to an Irish friend on skype and before I knew it me and a friend were building a farm.



Currently gets about 300 bread/harvest + 3/4 stacks of excess seeds, pretty sweet imo. If anybody else has a made a sweet farm post it, would love to see

 

I made a farm once, and I ended up having stacks and stacks of assorted crops that I didn't really need. I think farms are nice, but whats the purpose in making big ones like this?

 

^If you're in a hardcore server, or if you're playing hard on SP, you NEED this much food.

Not really. I'm playing at a so-called "hardcore server", and I can survive absolutely fine with my melon farm.

Nice farm, never really delved too far into the whole farming thing, myself. You should add some type of piston auto harvest (if you haven't already)

I've got a auto harvest feature, that's what the redstone/button is for

Also, it is a pain to reload but I usually pay people on the server to do it for me. They just get 1/2 of the harvest , if I can be bothered to do it myself I just load it up and leave it fully grown and just take it as I need it.
