do you think there will be as many bots on the 2007 server?

I personally see less bots being on the server as you would have to pay 12.99 a month for each bot to play on the 2007 server and if they get banned then its a bigger loss.

Ehhhh, depends on how valuable the gold is on this fresh server. $12.99 is only a lot if you can't make that in a day. If you can get say $20 a day on a bot then why not make 10 accounts and bot them all and trade the stuff to a mule every 12-24 hours or so? It's an investment, if the payout is high enough and profit is reliable enough, people will do it, I promise that.

 

Mills will easily be 20$ per at the beginning and people dont like starting fresh as most people are quite busy irl. This will make a market for bots, there will be bots 100%

 

This is what I'm thinking. Although I used to bot, I no longer do and I think the game will be more fun without.

Yea even on private servers where money is more easily obtained, xp multipliers, etc.........gold is usually $2-$3 per 100k for at least a week or two. Eventually it settles down to $2-$4 a mil.

Thing is, it will take a bit for bots to get started I'd imagine. What Sheymester said about how it will be $2-3 per 100k probably will be what it's like at first then settle down to $2-4 per mill.

 

Fat Mark said they might be implementing the new bot detection software. In my opinion, I would love to see less bots. I'm planning on doing a ton of PKing, so I don't think it will matter to me in a couple of months.

 

Yea I mean bots do hurt the economy later on in such a way that most resource gathering and stuff just isn't profitable enough to do legitimately because there are 100 accounts doing it 20 hours a day who will undercut you every time. As for my personal experience though, I do not desire a #1 position on any high scores page for any skill and although I will skill where necessary, killing strong NPC's and pking are my 2 main focuses so bot's do not interfere with either of those.

The only affect they will have on me is IRL profit because If I happen upon more wealth in-game than I need I would gladly sell it and having thousands of bots driving the price of gold down saddens me but oh well, I can't really get mad at someone for doing a blackmarket activity just because it hinders my blackmarket activity now can I?

 

Bots don't hurt the economy nearly as much as they benefit it. It is only the Chinese goldfarming bots that ruin it. Since there is no f2p, it shouldn't be a big deal. No one is going to risk $13 for a hundred accounts, since they could potentially be banned.

 

Mils back in 2007 used to be around $4-5 a mil, and that was with everything else in the game. The only way to earn cash this time is hard graft, old school gathering from scratch leaving the lazy behind.

 

The price of membership won't defer bots. If anything, it will encourage gold-farms due to the expected high price of RSGP for the first few months.

 

For the first week or two there will only be private simba/scar bots, but then the public ones will start appearing everywhere.

Yeah - I have no doubt about it. It is only a matter of time
