muted glitch?

So i was playing rs, Naturally i was talking shit to some kids. 10 minutes later when i try to talk :

I believe when you are muted you can still see your text but others can't. try with a friend.

 

Nope, I just talked to my friend, and when your muted it says that everytime you talk.
