I'm not really sure which section of forum to post this but I've recently stopped playing runescape and was selling my accounts on another website, a person was interested in my account and contacted me wanting me to go first when I said no he said that another way was to see if my account was valid was to use a program to check which was part of the e-mail as an attachment. His statement was, "Recently, the server programmers at Sythe.org created a program that can validate one's account details offline, without any risk at being hacked or scammed. The program is used all the time to validate people's account details, and it is perfect to use in this transaction."

I wanted to know if this program is legit or is this just a scam to get my information, please and thank you.

If you want to sell your account and you're scared of being scammed, you can use an (O)MM... (A middle man)

 

That person is trying to scam you. Use playerauctions or use an OMM on Sythe. You will have a better transaction.

Yea, I even offered to log onto the account and show him plus when he wanted to offer 15 dollars over the price I wanted I thought something was fishy but I was hesitant because I've never sold a game account before.

 

He was going to scam you.

There's no "program" to see if your account is valid.

 

It would of been a Keylogger, Trojan or a RAT
