Baby sitting bots = no ban? Advice please.

Well, first off let me start off by saying that I have yet to buy/work a bot on any of my runescape accounts. However, I have always wanted to bot but I will only take the first step if I know my chances of being banned are low.

Now, since I want to minimize my chances of being banned, my plan was to bot while "babysitting" a specific bot, this should work because I would never really be away from my computer, I would be constantly checking up on it.

I would take these constant "breaks" to check my botting during doing school-work, computer work, internet...etc to check up on my bot.

-I plan to use the RSbots.net's bots that arent really detectable by runescape. Isnt the way people usually get banned is by being reported, not taking breaks, being away for too many hours while your bot is stuck and thus reported....etc?

What are my chances? any advice?
Have you or any friend ever had an account banned, even while taking care of the bot?

I know there's always a chance of being banned:noworry: so dont flame me saying things like " dont bot if you cant take it n00b!"

Please keep it on-topic, thanks in advanced:)

It definitely lowers the chances, but you can still get banned (of course).
However, babysitting a bot can become an obsession; back when I did Soul Wars services on Sythe, I would babysit 6 hours a day and go insane worrying about it messing up. My advice would be to bot an a new character that you don't care about so that you won't have to worry about getting banned. That's what I did, and I made 13M + lvl 3- 85 in 2 weeks no problem, no ban :)
One of my favourite bot-related quotes is from the SCAR forums, "No main, no pain" :D

    Appreciate the advice man :)

The only problem is that I would want to eventually bot on my main since thats the character I play, and thus want to show off what I achieved by botting. I wouldn't just want to have a skill-cape on my noob and not on my main :/

Do you guys think Jagex bans people even if they are constantly talking to friends/clan chat every couple minutes while they are in the act of botting?
Seems like that should signal that that they're legit, no?

Also, once an account on your IP gets banned, does that automatically throw up a red flag on all accounts on that specific IP? Would they be watching my every move on my main?

    Thanks for everything :D

If you get 1 account banned they watch your connection just a little bit closer.

Just try to look as human as you possibly can.

I am currently botting an acct on pure cb. Its a LvL 74 all on al kadrid warriors and climbing.

Talking does help to get you less reported.

You gotta understand, that Jagex have ALOT of ways to figure out if your a bot. And even if you only bot 2 hours a day, and take breaks, watch it, and talk. They can still detect you.

NO botting is undetectable, ANY botting is bannable.

Believe me, I have used pretty much all the bots out there over the years..

Scar, aryan, rsbots.net, rsbot, scion, kbot, RID, perfecticus, etc etc.

And have gained bans from them all.

The only character of mine, that have survived botting, is a tank, on which I used Rsbots.net autofighter for 70 Defence and 78 Ranged.

    Short version

Yes, taking all the precautions you mentioned will decrease the odds of being banned, but you WILL be banned.

What are you saying? that if you bot no matter what you will get banned?...Why does anyone even bother botting at all then?

Wow bro, I have the same problem, when ever I leave it for an 1 hour+ I just want to go back and keep checking up on it :(

On topic: It does minimise it but you can get banned with anything.

Well, the RSbots.net bots claim that :
"ourclient uses reflection to grab data and operate our bots. This is a truly undetectable method to "hack" the client. " -This is straight from there website.
They also say that the only way the botting can be detected is though "irregular playing styles, and doing unhuman-like things with your character"

-I believe that my character wouldnt do unhuman-like things because of the way I would glance at it every 5 min or so, I wouldnt let the bot continue if it was stuck or messing up>_<
    - And for the second way that they're detectable, I wouldn't play in irregular playing styles..

So are these not the only ways to be detected? Are there in fact more ways to get caught? -Thanks for all the advice so far

    Lol ^

I would use them but they are a bit limited and they dont have the bots that I want. Also, does any1 know the chance of being banned using the SW bot from RSBots.net
People tell me its an amazing flawless bot that doesnt get banned, while others tell me the ban rate is increasing..Any thoughts on this?

I heard of some people getting banned from using SW bot from RSbots.net.. But it was only when they were bandaging players.. Plus it used to be very small chance of being banned cause well it's SW.. but it's increasing slowly..

RiDs stuff is pretty much the only thing thats never earned me a ban. WHat you descrive will lower your chances, but still doesnt guarantee anything.

    True^

I was thinking of getting the SW bot and letting it do its thing while I glanced over at it frequently. And then taking control of it in the last min of the game in order to choose the correct team (I have a friend who leaks me his clan's calls and worlds..)

Wow you're spelling is just sad. But anyways, Baby sitting isn't always just watching it constantly.. You could easily just keep checking over it once awhile.. while doing something else.

Well watex, since you seem like such an intelligent individual:rolleyes: ; let me explain it to you....

First, I'm not just sitting there in front of my screen watching the bot work. I have other things to do on my computer like finish a paper, complete some school work, etc....Hopefully you can understand that I cant do these things while playing a game like runescape, therefore I would use a bot to work on a specific skill/activity while I'm busy.

And since I'm going to be near the bot at all times, why not?
~ I feel like I can substantially reduce the risk of being banned by taking precautions like: fixing it shorty after it has messed up, checking if anyone is talking to me, talking on clan chat for a little bit, talking to friends, etc....

But you're a smart boy, you probably figured it out:rolleyes:

All the advice has been great so far, with a few exceptions^, but thanks either way!

Personally I think SW pro is an amazing bot. I've used it heaps and have never recieved a ban from it. The ban rate is one of the lowest out there because you don't get reported and there is no randoms in SW. I definitley recommend this bot.

Baby sitting a bot drastically help reduce your chance to be ban. The main reason why a player would get caught for botting is clearly being reported. And what is the number one reason why some one gets reported? By not responding to player. A simple small conversation every hour or so that relates to what you are doing will keep you account stealth from the report button. I have been using bot for my main account for the past 2 years and i have NEVER been caught. Because i bot when i get home while i do homework, play counterstrike, play another mmorpg, watch a movie and etc. I also bot on a schedule, i never bot out of schedule. So for a example jagex relized that it is 3:00 PM, i usally play for 5 hours. So it is common for me to be on abby demon for 4 hour straight.

People are giving jagex bot detection to much credit. As of now Nexus and Ibot premium scripts are two steps ahead of jagex bot detection. But they can still catch you. All you need to do is add in that little extra work by talking and responding to player, and you will be prety much undetectable.

Most of the bans people receive are caused by people being reported, do you know how "legit" players hate botters? and do you know how badly they want to be moderator? So they waste energy reporting people with getting nothing in return because they will never get mod (1/250,000) chance. So yeah, I guess if you will baby sit the bot you will not receive a ban as fast.
