Multiple Accounts (Want to make a new account, I'm not banned)

I have recently tried to make a new account as we aren't allowed 'Name Changes'.

But we aren't even allowed to register another account on the same IP address?

I almost shat myself when I logged on a couple of days ago seeing my poor choice of 'EMOTLON' back in 2009 .___.

I'm not suggesting a name change option, as that is not allowed...
I'm suggesting that we should be allowed to register at least 2-3 accounts.

It's been changed.

Lots of people have more than 1 account, but you're not allowed to do that anymore. When you attempt to make a new account, it says you already have an account made under this IP.

 

I currently have two accounts; I only use one. My accounts haven't interacted since my high pardon.

 

But what about those with dynamic IPs that just resetting modem can have a new one?

 

I see no point if having a second account to be honest. I wouldn't expect something like a name would make you want to have a second account. Doesn't seem like that big of a deal.

However I do think it would be a nice option to be able to apply for name changes.

 

Just to clarify what Clashfan said and to bring this discussion to a close:

Clashfan was saying that one account is allowed to register on an IP, but we don't issue bans just because an IP shows two active accounts. The registration IP restrictions serves, as Clash said, as a deterrent to ban evaders as well as spambots. This rule will never be changed.

In short: You can have a second account. All the vouches, posts, etc from your first will stay ONLY on your first account. Furthermore, the two accounts cannot interact in any way or both will be permanently banned. This can even include using both accounts to post on the same thread. If you want another account, you'll need to register it on another IP--be it a proxy or a mobile phone, etc. After it registers, you won't have any problems viewing Sythe.

@FlyingToast: Banning the first account will just cause issues. Later moderators who weren't mods when the ban request was made will almost surely ban the second accout for evasion. We reserve deleting accounts for extreme cases, and requesting a delete just because you wanted a new username will surely be ignored. They both will stay unbanned and legitimate accounts for these reasons, and it's up to the owner to operate them with decency.

 

You can go on a vpn, or use a simple ip changer to create a new account.
Then turn off the vpn/ip changer.
And you can log on both accounts, under the same ip. You're just unable to CREATE two accounts under the same ip.
