MSN Error Code: 8e5e044e

Hey guys,

Ive recently been on holiday, Came back and my MSN and Paypal had been hacked, Fortunately i was able to recover them, But i cannot log in to my MSN, It gives me the error code 8e5e044e.

I have used google, I cant seem to find anything that works, Ive tried Re-Downloading it and it didnt work.

Please if you know a way to fix this, Help me out, I will be very gratefull.

Delete Windows Live Messenger from your computer (from whole computer)
Then try to re download and install it.
I had same problem and it worked.

 

1. Click windows on bottom left, search for "appdata" folder in search box.
2. select "Local" then "microsoft"
3. Select "windows live contacts" folder and delete all files (make sure msn
is closed)
4. Select "Messenger" folder and delete all folders under your username.
5. Messenger should now start normally

 

I have windows 7 if that changes something, I search it and it says it cannot find what i searched.

 

Just look for your appdata folder.

 

I tried that, Didnt work, I deleted Windows live essentials, then it came up with a list of things i wanted to delete, including windows live messenger, The Sign in Sync and some other stuff wasnt deleted and was left at the bottom of the "Add Or Remove Programs" list.

 

Found it, Inside that folder is another named "Locallow", Inside LocalLow is nothing.
