Mr. Robot

I just found this TV show last night. I thought a few of you might enjoy this.

Here's a description of the show:
Young, anti-social computer programmer Elliot works as a cybersecurity engineer during the day, but at night he is a vigilante hacker. He is recruited by the mysterious leader of an underground group of hackers to join their organization. Elliot's task? Help bring down corporate America, including the company he is paid to protect, which presents him with a moral dilemma. Although he works for a corporation, his personal beliefs make it hard to resist the urge to take down the heads of multinational companies that he believes are running -- and ruining -- the world.

The pilot episode was an hour and all other episodes are ~45mins. I've never been a fan of Rami Malek but he plays his character (Elliot) wonderfully; his anti-social behavior is pretty spot on. I like the narration in the show, it's a unique way of portraying Elliot's anti-social (and possibly schizophrenic) self.

If anyone has watched this show, I'd love to talk about it with you. I have some theories of my own even though I'm only on episode 3.

 

stop now before you finish the second season and join the wait train with the rest of us! Seriously though it's one of my favorite shows and I can't wait for the next season to come out.

 

I've seen this a few times on a platform similar to netflix that is available locally here, I never thought much of it because initially I thought it was a movie since it looked like a local celebrity. I'll be sure to give it a shot if the PS4 has the app for the streaming website, or it'll be added to my to watch list when I can be bothered to hook my laptop to the tv and watch.

 

i saw the first season last year, thought it was pretty good although it got a bit weird in the last few episodes (i'd go in more detail but since you're only on ep.3 i don't wanna spoil)

iirc season 2 is already out, i just haven't found the time to watch it yet.

 

It's probably within my top 5 series ever, and I've watched a shit ton of shows.

Thought it was so awesome for the first while, but once it revealed he was just crazy and there was no plot I lost interest.

 

Yeah same here... I really was into the show at first..it seemed..different.. And that's why I liked it so much. The lack of story lead me interest down a whirlpool of no return.

 

Loved the first season, the second season just seems.... stale. I got halfway through and haven't watched the rest since.

 

I felt the same way. I quit watching after the 2nd episode of the 2nd season.

 

i just have watched season 1. I quite liked it but just never got into season 2

 

The opening episode really got me hooked instantly. Elliot hacks the creepy dude and it's super badass.

 

never wanted to watch it because of the retarded title but now imma give it a try

I love Rami Malek but I haven't given this series a chance yet although I heard it's incredible. I think after reading all these positive comments I'll finally give it a go

was watching this because i could understand what Elliot was doing hacking wise. It was the most accurate hacking show i had ever seen. The tools used to hack are real tools out there and there was a lot of security talk which is something i am really interested in. Then it started to become some weird hi-tech fight club remake and it put me off. Second season was not having any hacking compared to s1 so i stopped watching it.

 

I watched season 1 and 2, but after I basically lost the interest as it gets weirder every season it seems.
