    Moving house

On the 6th of September Jonathan and I will be moving from his mothers house (thank god) to a new studio apartment. The catch is there is a share internet, so using a shared internet connection obviously means my IP could potentially start matching current and past scammers/vaders. How would I go about this, clearly I'll be using their internet since its in the cost of our rent would I need to show someone my letting agreement or something lol?

    I don't know, suggestions?

The likelihood of you moving into the same apartment complex as a Sythe member, vading, seems very minimal. Nonetheless, the only options you would have are:

    1. Buy your own package through an isp.

    2. Purchase a VPN and keep it connected 24/7.

Yes I do agree it's very minimal but since it's a student accommodation complex I believe the chances are increased. Also, since our rent is already increased to cover the costs of the internet I wouldn't be purchasing another internet connection. As for the vpn, I guess.. but surely there is something else I could do?

    Thanks for the suggestions though.

    There really isn't.

Aside from purchasing your own package, a vpn will be your safest option.

I do suppose you could contact staff and inform them of the change so that they're aware and can be prepared for the conclusion. I don't know how they will handle it but that is the only way (aside from making a purchase) to handle the unfortunate event.

Congrats on moving! It sounds like a VPN would be your only choice but who knows maybe there was never a vader on that IP.

You can just ask whoever admins the network to set you with a dedicated IP... They'll just have to configure the ipv4 protocol manually so you'll connect with a specific IP rather than whatever the auto one is.
