Moved, Room Is Shit

So we move today
I am using a small, bit long and narrow and its driving me crazy.
I don't know why, but the shape of it is really upsetting me. I don't want to be in it.
Also, you can hear everything that's happening around you.
Last of all, it's like the f**king bermuda triangle in here; I'm hardly getting a signal.

What do you guys recommend I do?
What color should I paint it, how can I make it more sound-proof, and is there a way to get a better signal in here?

 

Can't you just move to a different room?
The colour is your preference, white will boost the light in the room and give it the appearance of being bigger.
I wouldn't know how besides re-plastering and using plaster boards designed for sound proofing (If it doesn't have plasterboard then normal ones will help) but it will make your room even smaller because it will be taking an inch off of each wall.
You can buy a signal booster from the internet, basically it takes the signal from your modem/router and then sends it back out, so if your router is at the other side of the house you just put the booster in the middle or something and it would be as if the router was in the middle too

 

Go for light colours when repainting your walls, preferably shades of white, grey and light blues, id go for a basic/modern pattern that incorporates these colours, i just redone my room like this and highly recommend.

I suggest repainting the walls white. Also if you notice the noise is coming from one wall, you can muffle with a big book case. If it's coming from the floor you can put a big thick rug down.
