    Report A Scammer "Moderator"

I KNOW THIS IS ON THE DNS, BUT I THINK THIS COULD HELP THE SITE MORE.

I've lately seen a lot of threads revolving around how "the moderators are being lazy and not doing their job at the RaS section"

Quite honestly, I think they're doing their job the best they can - though I'm just wondering what you guys think.

I understand there are certain sectionals assigned to the RaS forum, and all of the globals. (from my knowledge)

Honestly, at this point in time I'm not quite sure what it'll look like. I think it could have potential to make a new rank for it (like a new moderator rank) or it can just be sort of like the Head Community Assistant person. Basically, just get permissions for that certain section.

    My Suggestion

I'm suggesting that we make a new moderator(s) that're like sectionals, but a sectional for the Report A Scammer section.

    Pros:

Section will get cleaned up quicker.
Less complaining in the feedback category.
Reduces the possible future scams (by this, I mean that lets say..Player A scams Player B, Player B filed the report. Since it's taking a while for Player B's report to be resolved, Player A can go ahead and scam more people because he's unbanned.)

    Cons:
Hassle of making a new rank (if qualified)
Easily can screw up a lot, due to the person not being qualified enough. (By this, I mean that someone can easily screw up this. Could keep a scammer unbanned, even though a significant amount of proof was provided to get him/her banned.
Finding qualified members easier said than done...

    I guess that's it; thoughts?

No support. This is a part of a moderator's job and it must be done.

It would be nice, but it has been denied numerous times, and it's on the DNS list.

Its globals jobs now and yet they hate it, imagine how horrid it would be for your position to ONLY ever do Scam reports.

Yeah - but originally it's suppose to be just globals, not sectionals. Though, I barely see globals working in there (no offence to the people that are). Thanks for your input though.

    Agreed, haha. Thanks.

Yeah it would be - I haven't found it after looking through numerous denied suggestions. Yeah it is on the DNS list, but I suggested it because of the "filth" at the moment.

(I did leave, just trying to help the community a little....)

Yeah, but I'm talking about: Helping the community > caring about how bad they are.

Honestly, it pays off to know that you're helping secure Sythe.

Yea, I do agree though. However, mods have to do other such and such, and there's like 10-15+ scam reports posted per day.

Karls, I would enjoy it tbh. When Gohan was mod, I used to report the RaS reports that were good enough to warrant ban/not enough proof/Wtf reports, and he would deal with them few minutes later. Was a rather nice little thing we had goin.

You get to learn the 'scammers way,' so you yourself can avoid it and help others. :)

No.. Scam reports are part of a moderator's job (as stated by HHN.)

There are plenty of Globals taking care of it, just slower then before. Marcell and Nate were the ones who lived in the RAS. It's extremely tedious job and people should stop expecting instant-gratification. If they're trading with someone, simply check the RAS forum first.

    All of them?
You do realize that people HAVE lives outside of Sythe. As well, all mods go through a checklist of mod logs they MUST get within a month, or they will be demoted. (Sectionals also have this.)
They get reports when they get to them. As well, you do realize they aren't having any direct monetary gain from being a Global. They aren't paid, and doing scammer reports is VERY tedious and takes a large amount of time. They still get to them.

You're so quick to attack the staff, yet you're not in the position to where you actually have to do the work.
    Patience is a virtue.

Don't suggest something you know is on the DNS list. We've already had this discussion multiple times, sorry.
