Range Tank or stay Void - Help!

Hello all, I'm at a crossroads. I'm an old rs player back before there was EOC and only was Rs2 and RSC. Osrs is essentially exactly how I left the game 6-7 years ago. My old account is now RS3 but it was a 70 def range tank that I was working into a staker.

Now I restarted on osrs about 2 months ago as a pure. Upon getting full void I quested defense. I currently have:
70 att
70 str
42 def
80 range
76 mage
74 HP
44 Pray
Being that this is my only account I gave up the 1 def even after 55 slayer (never skipped a single task) and getting 78 range. The pk loot was null, albeit enjoyable, so I decided 42 def would make me more pvm viable. Now that I'm here there is a strong pull to 70 70 70 and more so 99def and 99 range. Though I have friends saying I'm going to ruin my acct etc etc. This is the only acct I have. I do enjoy pk (moreso multi over edge) but I don't know what to do.

Looking for any opinions. A possibility of bonding a new acct is something I've considered if I steer this acct towards main. It really doesn't take long to make a 1 def acct.

I guess another option is 75 99 75 skipping tank and Being melee based So mage range and melee will all be effective.

 

I'd go 75 99 75 personally.
