Looking for new CPU and ram for botting purposes

Hey Sythe community!
I am looking for new CPU and ~8gbs of ram.
So I decided to ask Sythe if you know any good CPUs for botting purposes? Looking to run ~8-10 bots

if you want the best bang for your buck i'd grab myself an i5-3570k and overclock it if you really need more power.

if you overclock it tho make sure to get your hands on an aftermarket heatsink

and as for memory .. not much difference in companies, 8gb of RAM might be enough if you only use your PC to bot, if not then i would get 16gigs if you really want to run 10 bots.

also, the CPU isn't the only thing you'll need to upgrade if you have a rather old-ish system, you might have to upgrade your GPU aswell!

Depends on your budget. Are you building a new comp or upgrading an old one? If upgrading, you need to get a cpu based off the socket your mobo supports, so check into that. For botting cheaply i would go with an amd 8 core, can be had for 150 i believe. Your going to need an am3 socket mobo though. Also, 8 gogs of ram should decf be enough for 8-10 bots, but if you want you could go 12. I wouldnt waste money on more than that, you wont use it.

 

you should check for deals, a week-ish ago there was i5-3570k for 170$ instead of 230$

 

As far as processors go, definitely choose intel as recommended above and go for the i7. For ram, buy the highest quality ram available, my suggestion would be Corsair Vengeance and 16GB couldn't hurt either. It's crucial that you buy DDR3 and Corsair is the top rated brand of 2012 so.
