I keep hearing something about prices dropping on the 1st of January 2012...? Are bots coming back or something?

Looking to buy some gold but should I wait?

I beleive prices went up, due to people buying rsgp for christmas, so with bots being down, dicing harder etc, gp is harder to come by so the prices increased, after the new year i just think the prices will even out. As the demand won't be as high. But i don't think it will drop to as low as $.5 atleast not anytime soon. So if your after buying RSGP then i'd just get it now

I think the prices will end up being ~$1,-/m from the bigger sellers.
    They won't rise alot now.

i think prices will keep rising. after xmas everyone buys so that boosts prices a bit and as money is slowly worked out of the sellers and spread around it should raise the price

I cant imagine it getting lower considering gold farming isn't applicable anymore.

He's pretty much saying now with the majority of bots gone gold farming is a lot harder therefore less gold is entering the economy.

It's all about supply and demand, gold sellers have been slowly raising their prices and people are still prepared to buy that so they will continue to raise their prices until people aren't buying as much gold anymore. Simple economics for you hehe.

The market is fairly inconsistent, rsgp does usually not follow typical market trends.

Probably. I wanted to buy gold from Nick like a week ago through mail, and he told me gold prices went up 15% in that day. Unless some major bot comes back, and some form of goldfarming is restored, prices can go to $1.00 by July. Im not an expert, don't take what I said as truth, I mean, we can only guess where the market can go.

It's possible that soon eventually mills will be around $0.9 wholesale value but it will be some time untill all the botted cash exits the economy through actions of players spending the money on things like ingame shops and dying in wilderness with no one getting any items.

I think prices will remain relatively stable considering there are still a few working bots around.

With bots being kinda shitty now, I don't see it lowering. There really aren't any money making bots atm. I don't know with the green dragon ones tho...I feel like they are just chinese gold farmers. Reason being, whenever I kill green dragons on my maxed account, once I hit a 300+, the "bot" stops attacking my dragon, and moves onto another. Really, only a human would do that.

Im sure gold will reach $1 per mil, if not more.

I doubt they'll reach over $1/m, however I think the only way it can go is up from here.
