Double XP weekends

I read something on rs forums the other day about someone wanting to bring Double XP weekends on rare occasions. Would this be a terrible idea to do? Please no go back to Eoc comments or such since first of all i did not play EOC and i myself wouldn't mind this. So what are you guys opinions on this.

 

I wouldn't complain as it would cut my alching in half lol.

 

Yeah that's an example aswell. I am expecting many comments saying that i want to ruin rs07 cause of this update since it seems like many people overreact about these kind of updates sometimes.

 

I really enjoyed the double XP weekend, actually. It was one of the few times I actually played legit, and if it was offered I might consider starting over on 2007 as I really don't feel like redoing all of my hard work on my EoC account.

 

Yeah I wouldn't mind double XP weekends, but as long as it didn't get too excessive. Once a year at MAXIMUM.

Yeah as heads stated, but I would even push it to once every 18 months at any given time. I enjoy the double xp weekends! But if it happens too often, it'll get abused.

 

Yes, Most would agree to a double xp weekend, But it would just like in the previous dxpw on eoc, would severely mess up the price of items. Good and bad at the same time, so it depends entirely on how you look upon it and what role you play in the games economy.

 

that would be cool my cooking would go way faster forsure i dont see a problem with it as long as its equal to everyone so theres no complaining that this guy got an extra 10 min more than me blah blah blah

 

I think that once per 6-12 months wouldn't have any effect on the economy.

If there were to be double xp weekends it gives players a reason to really sit down and play RS over a full weekend.

 

Bonus exp weekends don't really work the way people think. It doesn't actually make the training more fun, it just doubles your progress. These weekends encourage people to spend long hours grinding out skills

 

Jagex already said they won't be doing double xp weekends because what gave 07 scape it's authenticity was the grind for xp.

Just because your lazy and want quick levels isn't worth any pointless updates. just let it go.

I am against double xp weekends in OSRS.

 

Yes, I am against it 100%, and im thankful jagex flatly rejected adding them.

 

Anything that was brought out in EoC to make training easier/quicker or a ploy to get people to buy membership is a no for me, personally.

 

Did we have bxpw in 07? No, so why would we need it now?

 

I wouldn't complain if we got one but it isn't necessary.

 

I think 07scape is for hard training, so I wouldn't support this
