User Reputation..

Sythe.Org is a vast expanding forum.. New users should be able to see and know who are the highly reputable members and who are the annoying little children who'm enjoy making useless posts everywhere.

Vbulletin in the current stages integrated a new modification which allows a small reputation bar kept under the users profile located under posts.

Here is an image of what it looks like. (This is my forums lol, so i dont have my profile bar on the horizontal side)



Now, of course this can be abused which is for example new leechers can start giving out bad reputation. To counter this either a separate section can be made for Reputation disputes or a new Modification for private reports. Your choice. A Moderator can check this out and its not much of a pain as you might think, the moderator just has to view the thread and make a decision on this. Then he can of course edit the reputation.

I also think that Moderators/Administrators should also have the default number of starting reputation points like other users as this will make a stable balance.

The reputation addition should also be disallowed in the 'Spam and Black Market' forums.

Sorry, I disagree. User Rep has no meaning, Vouches work out perfectly, and it's legit as well. User Rep can be abused, even when it's carefully monitored.

 

Also, you can repute the same person in a row. You need to spread the reputation.

Also if its abused will it matter? It will still show the main reputable members..

 

Good Idea Vinny, as I do like the whole rep system on you're forums. This would be a excellent idea for Sythe.

nop. people cud use this to scam. having otehrs constantly rep them up.
