Suggestion: Donator Avatar 150X100 and Perk Manager

I think it's better to move the FireZ Stick Thread (150x100 Avatar Change Request) to Perk Manager like User Title.
My Opinion is, you better Create Another Tool Bar like User Title Change,near it , to be called Avatar Change Request.
To be Available for any donator within the limits imposed by sythe Rules.

By doing this, It will be much easier for Moderators/Administrators to execute the avatar requests, and it will not be necessary to wait 1 week or more as we do ATM.

I'm not 100% sure what you mean? Do you mean let a mod/admin choose your avatar, or just something to change your avatar?

 

You cant access perk manager so i don't expect you to understand.
In perk manager you have a option "Change User Title".
Near this option... to create another option called "Change Avatar"
You Upload Your new Avatar 150X100 to tinypics and put the Link on "Change Avatar"
Then you just wait for a mod/admin to take your request.

 

If this were to happen I believe Matthew would have to implement a lot of new coding. Basically, when you submit something through the Perk manager (I.E. Change of usertitle) it's sent to Matthew or something along the lines and then Matthew is able to approve and set the usertitle.

This means he'd have to change it so for avatars, the request is sent to the Globals or sent to another page which Globals have access too. I think it'd work just the same. In the thread, when the Globals have time, they change the avatars. The same thing would happen with this.

 

Matthew did this once , I believe he's experienced , and wont take that long.

Yes ... Exactly what i was thinking at.
It's a simple process and easier for them to manage it.

And I don't think you understood what I said in my post before, how will this make the Globals update the avatars more? When they have a chance, they check the Avatar thread, the same thing would happen with any other method, wouldn't it?

 

I think that depends on whether or not Matthew would be willing to take on the extra task of changing user's avatars for them. He already has his hands quite full, and for how busy he is it's quite impressive how fast he handles most donor perk requests (UI's and titles for example).

Either way you would still have to go through the process of submitting your request and then waiting for it to be implemented, as you do now in the Donator Lounge.

 

A no from me. Don't think there is any need and it will take longer for the avatars to be accepted probably because Mathew will have do the UI's, user titles and the avatars so the thread is fine for now but I suggest a global check it on a regular basis.

But the UI's link will be redirected to the Mod/admin in charge .

I just PM a Global to change my avatar if it's bigger than 80x80, it gets done a lot quicker rather than wait for the thread. It's a nice idea its just it would be a lot more work for Matthew to do, so I think just keep it as it is for the moment.

 

What we were saying, is Matthew must take it on his back to code it up. And I'm sure it would take up a reasonable amount of time for him to create for something that probably won't even help that much.

 

It would be an unnecessary coding job for Matthew. I don't think it will decrease the amount of time it takes for an avatar to be implemented. It only takes a global about 5 minutes to implement all the avatar requests in the thread, your suggestion probably wouldn't make much of a difference, and it might even slow it down a bit. If globals can spend a little more time checking the thread every now and then, I think that would solve the problem of avatars not being implemented fast enough. That being said, no support.

 

Not necessary, but it would be nice, and it shouldn't take too long to code.
