Monster Graphical Reworks

Over the course of the past few months if not the year, a lot of monsters have been getting graphical reworks, with today having been the Abyssal Demons. What do you guys think about these graphical reworks?

I am "meh" towards them. I really dislike the new Abyssal demons, I think they're just another stepping stone towards making Runescape overly cartoony looking.

Nechs are alright I guess, Dust Devils look weird, Black Demons are alright, Greater Demons are alright.

What do you guys think?

That's the new abby demon. I mean, in that picture it doesn't look as bad, but in game, I wasn't really impressed. Just didn't seem to fit the area. But you should go see for yourselves.

They look ridiculous with the tenticles coming out of the area above they're mouth. Would have looked better if they were on the sides. Now they just have the look of The Flood from the Halo games.

Runescape looks so odd now.
Perhaps its progress ensuing, but it just all looks the same now.
Lately jagex have been all about style and less about substance.
Example of this: Plague's end.

Yes, I agree with this above.

I don't like any graphical updates because I just loved the old, simple designs.

And agree with everyone else on thread. Some of the reworks have been mild improvements or no harm done...but meh..I'm not like the abyssal demons all that much. I also don't understand why they're so damn small. You'd think a lvl 85 slayer monster would look more harrowing.

Which is why I was so pissed when the skillcape re-work passed vote. I know there will be another poll of concepts to choose from....but man...Jagex's graphical enhancements are never usually well received from me and presumably the majority of others.

If they butcher skilcapes and don't let me keep my old styled ones..to 07 forever it is.

I wonder when the cosmetic overrides for monsters will be available..trollolool

All these graphical updates confuse me! I sitll play RS3 though and I just don't support this part. It wouldve been better to take out the tenticles, I liek the new Hellhounds though , earth warriors got 2 feet taller though

My thoughts. I sorta get used to the graphics after a while. But sometimes I can't get over how ugly some parts of the game now look. It really all started with the random eye-sore cosmetic shit on SoF and now TH.

Do people actually play on high def? I only play on min detail. I hate the new graphics. Jagex trying to look like WoW and League when they were fine doing their own thing.

Nah I play on minimum detail to try and have it be as Old School as possible. Don't get me wrong I love some of the content Rs 3 offers that 07 doesn't have, but I've always been a fan of the older graphics. Nobody ever played RS because it had amazing graphics lol. A Java games gonna have mediocre graphics.
