Mods in disguse?

This brings up an interesting topic; about a month ago I was pking and I saw a noob lvl 71. So, being lvl 79, i went to attack him, but I got whatever that message is about how he is not within my combat range. So I kept clicking and in like 5 seconds the character switched usernames and became level 50-something...

SO i followed him saying "Are you a J-Mod?", hoping if he said yes I could report for Impersonating Staff, but he simply avoided my questions with responses like "lol";

hmm.. true story

 

also he didn't have a crown or nothin..
