Congo confirms Ebola cases as deadly virus goes beyond West Africa

Discuss, how far do you think it will spread?

 

The media chooses a disease every single year to promote and cause panic. Remember SARS, West Nile Virus, Bird Flu, Swine Flu, etc etc etc?

However, Ebola is the most dangerous out of any recent outbreaks. The current mortality rate is 50%+ (at least in the African nations that are currently affected). Drug resistant diseases combined with air travel will kill off mankind long before global warming or nuclear holocaust.

 

How far ? Human beings can think of whatever they want, and I think this will fuck us up in some day, and will end up exploding at our faces. Nonetheless I would like to add that the cure exists, the other thing is that "Will they provide it to the people who really need it"? Nah, they won't, all they want is money and more money, it's the shitty world we live in. That's it.

 

Ebola doesn't spread very easily, most people who contracted it have been in close contact with those who were already infected. It's not an airbourne disease at the moment, so it poses little threat if proper procedures are taken when tending to those who have the disease and if bodies are disposed well.

Unfortunately in parts of Africa, there is a lot of negligence over those things, therefore drastically increasing the chance of infection.

 

Cure or Treatment? There is a big difference.

bleeding from puncture sites (gastrointestinal tract, nose, vagina and gums)
internal and subcataneous bleeding (reddening of eyes, vomiting blood)
impaired blood clotting
multiple organ disfunction syndrome

All I can say is.. Fuck. That. Shit.

 

Read "The Hot Zone" by Richard Preston. It's classified as a horror novel even though it's about Ebola. Crazy shit man.

 

tbh ebola wont spread far. Its a not as how you woulod say it. SERIOUS disease so. I believe it will be around 2 more months then decease.
