There is no way to have a perfect selection system. Sure they could improve upon their selection process, but they will still have that one mod that screws everything up. Suddenly everyone goes ballistic, quits, or criticizes the current staff, and completely overlooks the tendency of some people to abuse power. Also; how are they supposed to know the true character of someone when the interaction taking place is merely over a computer?

As I said, no matter how much they improve the process there are still going to be the mods that abuse. How does that mean I spammed?

Obviously the staff selection system is efficient. There are not many, if any, "bad" mods. Also there hasn't been too many "screw up" mods in the past. Of course there has been a few, but there will be no matter which type of system you have to select staff.

You didn't read the thread before posting.

    That's spam.
There was like 6 mod positions where people got promoted and then demoted/banned within like a week in like just this year.
    EDIT:And an admin was permied.

Look at the size of the community. It's going to happen. I don't think there a process possible to prevent this.
Also, you don't even know why the admin was banned, so you can't really say anything.

On another forum I visit, the only mods demoted were for inactivity besides one, they have what, 800k accoutns created?

Their mod selection process is near perfect.

Of those 800k how many are bots/inactive?
Also, is it even a RuneScape Trading based site?
And it's not near perfect, if anything they have just been lucky, or have more trustworthy members.

There is no bots for the game, only trainers.
    And they are all patched.

And why would a game be a ruenscape trading site? (Guess I actually didn't say that, I just said forum.)

    And it IS near perfect.

I meant bots as in spam bots. I'm talking about registered users on the site.

There are way more people that are "pixel huggers" for RuneScape than other games, so since this is a RuneScape trading and cheating based site, naturally there are more people that are here to scam.

We had like 12 porno spammers.
They were deleted, not banned, don't show up on the registered users list.

    Valid point.
No matter what game you play, however; there will be around the same percentage of people interested in hacking, scamming, anything unfair really.

And we are going so off topic...

    Take it to PMs?

Burden, i agree with you, the mod selection standards are quite low, and need to be upped, some mods, not naming any, abuse there power,
