I have been writing poetry for nearing 10 years now. My very first poem won a contest and was subsequently published in a small magazine published by a local college.

Words transcend the present,
Like a spiral staircase it leads you slowly -
Down into the depths.

Torch in one hand
Bible in the other.
You delve once more deeper.

Your feet hits cobble stone-
Damp and slippery.
You continue your journey.

The hall is long and low
The light casts a precious few feet,
A doorway meets you in silent embrace.

A scream echos now -
The room was large,
Torches poorly lit this tomb.

A smile plays upon your silent visage,
A facade that covers what lies beneath.
A pool - So much deeper than viewed.

Stood in chains - a cacophonous woman.
She detests your presence
But you do this as a gift to her.

You sit and read from the Holy Book,
The torch light plays Demon Shadows -
Cast from your hair onto the pages and her face.

She fights and screams as you read,
Ever louder she grows.
You read softly to her ears.

Her breaths are deeply labored,
Your clothing is soaked by the drips -
from the book you pull a flower.

You feed her as she fights,
but she eats every last bit.
Then you retire to your chair and wait.

Her heart beats quickly,
Lungs functions slowly fade -
She vomits, blood and food.

The death is slow,
She suffocates.
In the following hours - She dies.

You leave, smug and smiling.
Satisfied.

In the night

Remember my voice,
for we used to be loved,
in the night we stood,
in the light we knew.

Spheres go round,
you make me wrong,
with the lies you told,
I can't find any love.

Run, speak the truth,
before I catch you,
and as ashes you cry.

Half-opened goes my heart,
deliberately you speak,
by the back you stab,
and in the night...
You are all I had.

I recently wrote this and dedicated to my GF

Just about us

I sit back, following the light,
in this morning, when the sun has risen,
no warrior can defeat that evil,
when it has beaten us over night.

My ears desire your words,
my eyes desire your looks,
my nose desires your perfume,
my hands desire yours...
And the taste of your lips,
reminds me of you.

Look back, look at me,
that night, so perfect,
will never die, never die,
when you fall asleep,
I beg that you dream with me.

Only yesterday is to blame,
and in the future...
Future is nothing, just nothing,
without you, it's not even worth it.

If I chase you, don't run,
all I need is the taste of a kiss,
and when loneliness cracks me,
even then I'll just think of you.

Don't die, don't live.

Just stay, till the worlds ends,
be certain my heart will beat,
and that for you I would die
and bleed.
