Can my non-botters get banned?

Well, I have been thinking about botting an account for fun (I guess) to test how it goes....I was wondering if my other legitimate account could be banned for be associated with the IP of the botting account...I don't plan on using a proxy (my nets already slow enough) and I won't buy a VPS...

 

you should be good, as i have gotten a ban recently and if they wanted to track my ip my other 43 bots would have also been banned. which i am happy to say they did not

 

No they won't ban other accounts. Though if you transfer the gold to the other account it may be at risk

 

Nope, they only ban accounts that they have 'proof' of botting for. If you don't bot an account it's safe. HOWEVER, your IP address will be flagged as a 'danger IP' and they'll keep an eye on that IP for a while. If you get banned, either try to swap your IP (not on your router - that's an internal LAN address, ring up your ISP and ask for your WAN IP to be changed) or don't bot for a while and be extra careful when you do.

 

I have always wondered this myself.

Can Jagex also look into your accounts "logs" or whatever, and determine that you have botted in the past? Like my main account is like 98% legit, all hand made (multiple 99's and hard to achieve stats), except I have recently botted 5 dung levels on him. Lets say I stopped botting on him forever after I hit 85, could they look into the records of my account like a year later and see that I have ran scripts in the past?

@OP, i think they can, but they rarely/never IP ban.

 

I'm pretty sure this is how it is, I've been botting on a couple of accounts and really only one has been banned. The most that Jagex can do would be to flag your IP..

 

If i suicide like 8 bots and then transfer the money to a never botted acc, Would the non botter get banned also or is it a toss?

 

They can but its rare..so many factors goes into a ban. Anything is evidence/possible to me.

You should be fine, unless you're running like 123129873918273 f2p Rune Essence miners your other accounts are pretty much in the clear.

 

Your other accounts have immunity, contrary to popular belief.

Jagex doesn't discriminate based on IP.

Only legit IP ban I've ever heard of is for hardcore bug abusers.

 

So should i be scared? because i really want to continue botting dung, and soulwars. just for leveling, not for gold farming.

If you don't bot on those accounts you would be safe, because they can't tell if its a family member botting or what not. That could always be your excuse.

 

A bunch of my friends bot, and almost all of them have a legitimate account, but the thing is they are too lazy to pay for membership so they bot in F2P, they always get caught and get banned, but Jagex doesn't touch your other accounts

 

There's not a very high chance of them being banned.
