MM's Not allowed to Vouch Traders

Basically what the thread title says. I've noticed generally users use MM's to inflate vouches because they get two from a trade where they normally would only get one, despite only having one trade.

After they get 3-4 trades in, they've got nearly 10 vouches from half of that amount of trades, then they pressure a newcomer into going first because they have "More vouches" and scams occur here, the new user gets angry and may result to scamming later.

Basically there is no need for a MM AND the trader to vouch, and one trade should = one vouch.

    EDIT -

ALSO, the MM isn't trusting either party, this is another great reason why MM vouches shouldn't be allowed.

We all know that Quality > Quantity, but most new users do NOT know this, nor do they learn for a great while.

The only person who should be vouched after a middleman service is the middleman. The middleman is, after all, the only person to have been trusted with anything.

Agreed, I've never used an MM before so I didn't know that, but you shouldn't get 2 vouches for a trade.

Edit: actually.. I agree with this:

I personally never vouch after I MM a trade. I am not trusting those individuals with anything so I VERY rarely vouch for them. As for individuals who vouch for each other during an MM I don't really see a problem with it. Even though the MM makes it a safer transaction, the originally seller/buyer can still recovery account(s) etc.

A rule isn't needed (IMO) for this. People vouch who they'd like to vouch. Some of the people I trust the most on this site I've never traded.

A vouch just indicates that a trade has happened, nothing else. I personally vouch both traders if they use me as a OMM because the trade has gone well between all parties.

I wont stop vouching both parties anytime soon, if they had a good trade they can have a vouch. Also when you read the mm vouches it shows you they are wiling to use one and they generally have safer trading tactics.

I personally never vouch them unless I genuinely would vouch for them. Its just preference really.

You shouldn't get 2 vouches, but I don't agree with the people saying you shouldn't get any vouches. The vouch is proof that you have been trading legitly. If it matters that much to someone wether or not people went first to you they can just read the vouches.

A vouch has nothing to do with a trade occurring or not. A vouch is a sign that you trust that person. You shouldn't vouch someone just because they traded with you, unless you actually would trust them with something you own.

If I mm your trade, I won't vouch you.

But.. if you are used, to be a mm, you are trusted, and that extra single vouch from every trade shouldn't even matter.

A vouch is a "Good Reputation" indication from a trade that was done without any problems, So I agree.

I support. These days I am always seeing people with so many "eh" vouches. Some people claim they have a lot but they are for some stupid things.

You're vouching that the trade went through and that both are legitimate sellers which none of them tried to scam during the trade. I personally think it's fine.

    ^this

however "vouching" is the user deeming you trustworthy, and according to the comments I got to a similiar idea ppl dont need to have traded you to get vouched..
My idea was ppl not allowing to vouch if they dont get trusted with anything,
for example they buy a pin from someone and they go first. that shouldn't be counted as a vouch

I *would* support that but I don't because then it's virtually impossible to gain vouches as a new user. No one's going to trust you with anything if you don't have vouches. In this cycle, those who have vouches would just garner a lot more and those who don't will spend ages trying to.

I don't support this at all. Maybe not considering it in your vouch count, but I'm not even sure I agree with that. Who cares if you have an extra vouch. You also did an extra trade. It shows that you can do alternatives to solve the trade sucessfully.
