Okay i tried to post in Community but it obviously didn't belong there.
It is obvious that everyone lacks the commitment to make a decent game.
But i am here to try and boost you're spirits.
I am currently working on a project that you all MIGHT be interested in.
I have been making games for quite some time now. I have always been good with programming, and stuff like that. Right now i'm coding my own gaming engine. That i will probably need some help with to get off the ground but okay. I have alot of ideas more then anyone here and i want people to work with me. This game can get big if we all WORK TOGETHER we have alot of people on this site. If this site promotes the game then it can be a success soon popping up everywhere.
In want to make the game so that it runs off of a 2.5D engine. Yes 2.5D.
That is when the Sprites, NPC's and things of that nature are 3d. But the Base land along with the things built into it aren't. They were drawn and added. Just placed blocks in certain areas to give it a 3d feel. Again the ground stays put doesn't rotate at 360 degrees. But you're movement is at all angles. That sums up the Engine.
What i want to do is throw some ideas at you so you know what exactly i want to do with it.
Game Name: Innovative Online. I have always wanted to use that game ever since is tarted making games and things like that. I used eclipse before and it is a popular engine but i really did something with it. It gave me an idea on what I WANT TO DO for when i make my game legit. I like the name, if you don't we can negotiate.
Game Style: I saw a post of Sythes he really wanted it to be like Diablo. Well that is smart. Not too runescape. What we need is to keep the game on a good olden but still fun base. We can create certain skills and stuff. But not until we have really gotten into it. And we can introduce the skills one at a time. Just like runescape did. Because it gives everyone that feel that were working for them. And it gives them something to really look foward to.
I will be buying a Domain name. I will be hosting it. I will be holding the game server because i have a system that lets it run 24/7.
But what i want is Sythe to run the project. I want him to lead the whole game, he makes the decisions. Because he has good judgment and this is something that he really wanted to do.
We will need to build a Dev team. With people that KNOW WHAT THERE DOING and are able to back up what they provide us with. People can create an application, that will let people tell us there skills.
Because if we want to keep people interested
EVERYONE NEEDS A SAY.
Also we will be using a game gaurd, that we will CODE OURSELVES.
This will be used to prevent people from hacking the game. But as for people that are good, i want you to hack the game while it is in beta, where it is most vulnerable. So we can patch up the hacks, and prevent them before they happen. It would be smart to Prevent Inflation on prices from a possible dupe. Or just complete global chaos.
If you use WPE and stuff like that, i will give you a modified version if needed, or can give you a link to it.
I have a place i can host and form a download link with for the site.
If people want to help pay costs that will be great and easier on me. But before i get to ahead of myself. Please throw ideas at me for the game. I have sketched down on a pad things like names for Armor, and names for Blades and potions and spells and things like that. I'm ahead of the game.
But i need people to help out and give me everything they got because i want to make this work. Please Sythe post here and let me know what you think. And Let's make something work for a change instead of everyone giving up. This site has alot of Potential for a good game, And can rack in money from Adverts.
