Our apartment complex found out we had a cat (In the contract, it states that we cannot have any pets[including cats])

Once they found out, we had to get rid of him or move out.
Moving out was not an option.

We moved up here about a year ago, so we don't know anyone (well, no one who can have a cat)
So we had to give him away to someone on craigslist.
Got her address though, so I can visit my little man.

I feel your pain... I once had to give up a really cool goldfish of mine, I was around 6-7 and cried because of it. But you know man, that's life.
