Now and Then

So I haven't posted on Sythe for a quite a while. However, I recently got back into both Runescape and Photoshop so I figured I might as well get some feedback . The Sig on the bottom (in my signature) is my newest and the Sig on the top is an older one of the same style. Go ahead and tear it apart, no need to pull your critiques. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

Oh and also the reason the render in the first sig looks a bit LQ is because I had to whore color stuff to make it look like that. The sig actually started out looking like:

 

Just so you know, your two sigs side by side exceed 650 pixels in width. May want to put them on separate lines.

Besides that, there are some blending and lighting issues with the right one. IT could also do with more foreground effects. The left one has nice colouring but needs more depth and lighting, and I don't like the composition personally.

 

Yeah, I can never seem to get the blending quite right just messing with smudging, erasing, opacity stuff and effects. Any ideas on other techniques that might help? I really need to work on lighting too I've noticed. It can seriously make or break a piece. Anyway, there's something I sort of like about this style of composition (even in the Kanye one) but to each their own I suppose.

i like the bottom one alot better. its more colorful and mysterious and intresting. id just keep the bottom one IMO im not feeling the top one, it takes away from the art of the bottom. Nice work though. seems like you put alot of work in it.

 

I dont really like it :/ but then again anime characters etc arn't my thing.
