Might have to file a chargeback on paypal.

Hey Sythe I bought an account on another forum and of course it got recovered. I paid with PayPal, sent as a payment but wrote "gift" in the box and my account is connected to a debit card. I bought the account about a month ago is a charge back possible?

Thanks for any advice I can get this will unfortunately be my first chargeback.

 

Chargeback through you're credit card company is possible but PayPal will probably close or limit your account if you do so. If it is a small amount and you want to keep using PayPal without any problems I suggest you don't file a chargeback, if it is a big amount of money then you can consider chargeback.

Also I'd suggest you file a scam report against that user on that specific forum and waiting for the result of the report. If the seller refused to refund and accept a ban. You can do file a chargeback.

 

Alot of time though people resell these accounts that get recovered. I think there is a list somewhere of accounts not to buy you should seek that out.

It's really quite hard to buy accounts especially those with a lot of high level skills because they can be easily recovered with Jagex's security system no matter what. Anyway, the best thing to do is to deal only with those trusted members with high reputations when buying such accounts. Sorry for your lose
