Might get in trouble for this at work? :S

Okay, so, Friday evening, right before I left work I tried to send an email from my work email to my personal email that was a straight copy paste of someone's entire Twitter page... twice. That email did not arrive to my personal email.

I realize now that that that was probably because it contained a LOT of bad words and things like
"If Paris Hilton made a p**rno with black guys it would be called N**** In Paris" etc.

Is it likely that they will read this email and confront me at work on Monday, or that I'll lose my job over this?

 

You'll possibly get a warning.

 

They possibly won't even know, and If they do say something to you, let them know that it was a mistake, hopefully they'll have sympathy for you.

 

I'm not sure if you'll lose your job over it, they might just give you a stern warning. Unless they find it funny and just completely let you off (if you're lucky).

 

Come on hopefully they don't take it so seriously cuz its really isn't. Don't worry if they even find it you will get a warning.

 

You'll be fine, even if they call you up on it you can just say, you're disgusted by the twitter page and you wanted to email it to your private email to tell somebody about it or something. You'd only get in trouble if you were involved in the racism etc. But you're not I hope.

 

Their web filters probably intercepted it.

Its not something you'll lose your job over or anything like that, just a warning or a telling off most likely.

even if they do, as others have said, you will probably just receive a slap on the hand (warning)

 

It all depends how much they monitor their system and filters, most companies don't even check what's in the filter net. Besides, there's no guarantee it was even filtered, the email may just have failed.

Plus, my old school used to have an email filter for swear words and such, and all it did was filter and that was it. No one ever got stuff off the teachers for swearing or anything unless they sent pornography to a person.

I honestly think you're fine mate, although I wouldn't bring it up unless they bring it up.

I doubt it was checked. Mostly none of the companies I know their administration has a filtering system or something to check the sent emails.

How would they find out? I don't think they will be able to and I don't you'll get fired for it so if your worried, calm down. As long as you have a reasonable explanation if they do find out, you'll be fine and even if not, I reckon they'll just warn you, that's all.

 

Just calm down. I doubt anyone have checked the e-mail you sent out and even if they did, a warning is all that is given.

I think it depends on whether or not somebody ends up reading the e-mail. You could always try to get back on a computer and delete it from the "Sent" folder so that nobody gets a chance to read it.

Even if it were caught you, that is somebody elses Twitter page and so I can't see you getting fired for it. You will most likely just get a verbal warning, asking you to stay off those sorts of sites while you are at work. I wouldn't worry too much man

 

I think the real question here is why the hell were you trying to send someone's twitter page to yourself lol
