Why do people botting in f2p?

Why do people even bother botting in f2p?

You go to the mining guild, any yew tree, pretty much any f2p resource and you will see a swarm of bots. For the most part, they will make around 25k gp/hr. This converts to around $0.25 a day if they sell the gold @ .5/m - these bots can't possibly come close to covering the electricty costs

If they were to spend money for 1 account membership, they could potentially replace 8 or more f2p accounts.

 

Because they suicide bot, just botting for 24 hours straight. They dont care if the account gets banned, they can just make another.

 

Im botting in f2p right now but for myself to gain levels not for money ofc..if i wanted money i would make a members bot. I'm botting fishing and magic atm so its not to bad. Power fishing salmon/trout and gatestones for magic.

 

To gain levels. F2P isn't the way to make money.

 

Not everyone can afford membership...

 

A lot of the bots we see are for Chinese goldfarming sites. They generally don't have a whole lot of common sense. These are the culprits behind the 2006 craze which spawned the GE and no free trade. The ones with the same generic bald-headed avatar and 10 of them would swarm every Yew in Runescape.

 

25k/hr for 20 hours a day on 10+ accounts... adds up.

 

Can't afford membership....simple.

Probably because they don't want to make it members, or they are f2p members, just looking to fill their pockets with some extra GP to buy a new rune set. :laugh:
