I think he diserved a second chance, if you watched his interview on 60 minutes, he said that he was exposed to dog fights at a young age. When you are at a young age, you tend to look up to older people. Not only that but he said a couple police officers came and saw what was going on and just left, so he thought it must not be all bad. Also, compared to the other stuff players in the NHL do, this wasn't as serious. I say he diserved to come back, he learned his lesson.

 

Well, Michael Vick was a great QB, in college that is.

In college as a QB, you scramble more than you do in the NFL.

I think signing him with the Eagles is supposed to teach him how to be a better QB, like Donavan McNabb.

EDIT: Oh and who gives a hell about DOG fighting? I love dogs and all but.. C'mon.

Vick shouldn't be able to go back to the NFL for his fuck up. The league was better without him influencing younger kids to do things.

 

Tbh, he sucks. And worse than that, he killed dozens of dogs just for fun (thats KILLING things). Good ol' Martha just embezzled (and not alot either) and she got tracking devices, contract cancellations, etc. Vick gets outta jail and is flooded with "PLEASE COME BACK's".

Don't you think its funny that he gets out right as pre-season starts too? lawl.

I really dont think he deserves a second chance because he was accepted back to the nfl he may start to think that no matter what he does he will always be accepted back although it is possible that he is better and has changed from his actions in the past.

 

Why should he have a second chance? He harmed animals and did illegal activity.

 

That is pretty funny actually =p and to the guy above me, several other NFL players have done worse.

 

I suppose ignorance is contagious in your situation. If you are going to try and make a claim you need to support your statement with proof.

 

Eh no, no one should do that to innocent animals and get away with it, he should've had life in prison.

 

Football is a job. Not an expectation. Yes, he deserved to come back.

 

He served 2 years way more then he deserved yes its is right for him to be allowed to play.

yes and no...
he does deserve to be playing football because he is such a good player, but what he has done in the past makes it controversial. someone who does things like that to animals should be locked up forever (obviously not going to happen but thats just my opinion).

You say that he is "influencing" kids with one bad choice he made.
Yet other people such as music artists, politicians and countless other head figures fuck up and you dont get on their ass about it.

 

Dog fighting is a terrible thing and the people that do it are absoultely disgusting. However, I don't think it should affect his occupation in the sense that he can't rejoin the NFL.

 

He served his time, who cares.
