    Mechanical Keyboard

    Hi there,

I am currently looking for a new keyboard and would like it to be mechanical and have Cherry Red or Cherry Brown switches on the keys, all I can find is really high priced keyboards which I'm not really willing to pay for. There doesn't NEED to be any backlighting on the keys or for it to look fancy but that would just be an added bonus if it was for the right price.

I am in the UK so would preferably need it to be from a UK based company although it would be possible to order from another country if the price was right. Is anybody able/willing to help me find a mechanical keyboard for a good price? (Personally a good price I would say is around £60-70)

    Thanks for the help.

Have you tried checking Newegg.com or sites like that ?

Rosewill is one of the mechanical keyboard brand that is quite reasonable in price. They are one of the cheapest out there if you want to compare with the other mechanical keyboard.

Well, if you want the best of the best, get a Filco keyboard. I have a Filco Majestouch Ninja Tenkeyless II and it's an enormous step-up from the membrane keyboard I used to use.

Alright, I've done a little bit of research and I have a few more options, the rosewill keyboard seems to have a lot of bad reviews in which it breaks within the first month as there is a problem with the USB connection. Here are some other options that I have found. They are all around the same price and I would love your feedback on these options:

I'm using the CMStorm Quick Fire Edition, it has good reviews and I'm liking it so far. I'm using Blue Switches for them. Haven't had a single problem since I bought them.

Not sure for the other 2.

Okay so the iOne company is known to cheaply build products and they turn out to have bad quality so I'm going to give that one a miss, I'm going to go for a Coolermaster Quickfire TK but I think I'm changing my mind on which switches I want to get

Blue Switches is kind of noisy a bit though but it is nice for me.
Red Switches are meant for Gaming according to reviews etc.
Black Switches don't feel nice at all.

Different people have different preference. You'll need to try it out mate.

I've definitely narrowed it down to three types of switches but there's no way that I will be able to try them out, I'm going for Red, Blue or Brown

Red switches will cost you more compared to other switches just to let you know. So try finding the other switches and see how much of a difference is the price.

There is a firm budget of what I can spend but they just seem to be out of the price range by a small amount every time

Well, a mechanical keyboard is a better keyboard compared to those normal ones.

Rosewill are the cheapest out there to be honest. If you want a better piece, you need spend a bit more.

It's seeming quite hard to find mechanical keyboards in the UK as well, which narrows my choice down by a lot
