    Math Question

    Do this:
    [(your mark now) X 0.8 + (your mark on exam)] X 0.2

    This will give you the result mark, as in final term mark.

    Math Question

    How to solve:

    (current percent) * (percent it is worth) + (unknown percent) * (percent worth) = final percent.

    so solve for unknown percent:
    in your case...

    (67.7*0.8) + x (0.2) = 60

    were x = unknown percent (or percent needed to get 60 final)

    solve for x

    x(0.2)= 60 - (67.7*0.8)

    x(0.2)= 5.84

    x = 5.84/0.2

    x = 29.2

    So you need at least 29.2% on your final xam to finish off class with 60% avarage.
