Math homework.

Just wondering if anyone would be able to help me with this out of the kindness of there heart=P:love:

The monthly salary Y of an employee depends on the amount of sales made during the month. The function F witch gives the employee's salary has rule;

F(x)={0.05x 0 ≤ X < 40 000
{0.2x-6000 x ≥ 40 000

What is the salary of an employee who makes 30 000 in sales a month

What is the amount of sales made by an employee who receives a salary of 47 000

Math homework.

Basically the salary depends on the amount of sales made in that month.

For 30000 sales use F=0.05x and for 47000 use F=0.2x-6000

so for 30000 sales:
F(30000)=0.05*30000=1500

and for 47000 sales:
F(47000)=0.2*47000-6000=3400

so $1500 and $3400 for 30k and 47k sales respectively.
