Ohai, so I thought you all might like to have a look at how I turned a bunch of sprites into the sig below, you can open the PSD, have a fiddle and whatnot, to see how I achieved the effects - Everything has been done using soft brushes with the paint tool and the erase tool.

Downloaded. I'm amazed, that is unbelievable.

 

I still thought you should have made your sprites have dimension. You light source from the flower is too far onto the left of the door, and even the door itself. No roof?

 

cbf to download but i'm awesome if i guess how you did this, because it's been months since i've even touched photoshop.

Let me guess: You added some new layers for the lighting and colored them with a soft yellow brush with low opacity then set a layer effect (dunno, color dodge or something or color burn or something?).

And for the darkened areas another layer per area with a lowered opacity black soft brush then changed the opacity of the layer?

is fouisgras right?

 

It looks aight. I like the text in it though.

 

That's so cool. It looks so natural and fits in with the darker levels. I wish I could have the brain power to learn that kinda stuff.
